Resistance - second view by AlfredParedes Resistance - second view by AlfredParedes
This is part of a series called "The Rope Series". They all deal with the things we fight against our whole lives. Whatever is at the other end of the rope is up to the viewer to decide, but we can all share in the experiences of being bound to something (figuratively speaking).

I'm not completely happy with the photos because they have some distortions, making the proportions of the figures look off.

I think it's a brilliant idea :D Being in AP Art at my school and having so many art assignments in different sizes/mediums it's so easy to just go into artists block. :( But it's moments like these where I see someone else's work like yours where I think "Wow! why couldn't i think of that?!" Then it's easy to get inspired again. :) Great work! I mainly work with 2D art and digital but I've always wanted to practice sculpting (with clay rather than a 3D digital art program on the computer.)

Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad I could inspire. Keep doing your art and always look to grow and try new things. Experience life as much as you can (although I would recommend staying away from drugs and alcohol), as that is where you will find the most inspiration for your art. Travel and visit museums, it's a big world out there and you don't want to miss it. When it comes to sculpting, you just need to start and keep practicing. When I first started sculpting I fell in love with it and haven't looked back since.
Good luck,
Alfred
