First off, WHAT THE HELL ALFRED?!!!!!! How could I let it go so long? There's SO MUCH that has happened in my life that I couldn't possibly fill you in on everything (and I don't really want to either). But I'll give you the highlight reel.

Still at Sideshow. I've been moved over full time to the digital side of the sculpt department. Quite the change for me, but I'm trying to embrace it.
I will still keep sculpting traditionally for a lot of my personal work, but I'm also embracing the digital on that side as well. I've already put out a couple collectible kits that have been sculpted digitally.

I updated my site store to make it even easier to purchase. So give it a visit and check it out. www.APSculptureStudio.com

On the personal side, there's been some ups and a HUGE down, but I'm keeping this positive, so just know that I'm doing well and life is overall a great place to be.

I wanted to keep this brief, so I'll end it here. Thanks for still visiting this dusty corner of Deviant Art. While I haven't posted anything in a long while, I have been here on a weekly basis. Stopping by every couple days to see what all the rest of you are up to. Great work everybody!! I'll start gathering some of my sculpt images and I'll get them posted on here. I'll be posting a bit here and there as I have a minute, so you can see all the whacky stuff I've been making (including the stuff I've been doing just for practice, and the digital stuff). In the mean time, be sure to follow me on Instagram @APSculptureStudio Help me get my number up by sharing and @ mentioning me. I've been on Instagram from nearly the beginning and I've barely broken 10K. Thank in advance.

Cheers!!

Wow, how time flies. So much has happened in the last year that it's way too crazy and way too much to get into all of it. But really quick, here's the highs (and lows):

Just over a year ago (April 8, 2014), my father passed away. (No condolences necessary. Thanks. but it's been a year and everything is okay)
Last summer, I did a little freelance in-house work at Sideshow for some of the court of the dead stuff.
Just after Comic-Con, Sideshow offered me a job and I started working in-house (still freelancing, but full time in-house).
Earlier this year, we made that Sideshow relationship official and I am now a full time Sideshow employee (Fulfilling one of my big time goals).
Monsterpalooza was super awesome as usual. Jon Favreau was the first to buy something at the show, which means he now owns two of my pieces (Super cool!!)
My birthday was it's usual non-event (I prefer it that way, so no boo-hoo's).
Last week, I bought a new car and it was delivered to my house. I now have a sweet ride for the long commute into work.

There's the basic highlights. I've been working on some new stuff and there's stuff that I still need to post on here (I'll get to it as soon as I can). I want to share that stuff with all you guys. DA has really been a great community to me and has supported my work from the beginning, so thank you to everybody.

I hope you guys check back with me every now and again and remind me to keep posting the new work (if I happen to fall behind again).

Cheers to all and I hope the first quarter of 2015 has been a great one for you all.

It's one of the best way to wake up in the morning - hoping on the computer and checking in on Deviantart, to find that your inbox has over 500 messages. There's usually a WTF moment and then id dawns on you... I think I got a DD this morning. Well, that was my morning once again yesterday. It's humbling, encouraging, flattering, and every other positive adjective you can fit in here. It's nice to be recognized and to have so many new people drawn to your work. There have been so many comments (all of which have been positive and flattering), and I try to comment on each one. I appreciate all of you taking the tinniest bit of time out of your days to write something on my work. It's a small gesture, but it means a great deal.

With a lot of work being just completed, there will be even more stuff on here soon. I've only shared it on Facebook and Instagram so far (I try to only post finished work here, now), but I'll be posting up pictures of all the new work, very soon. Hopefully, some of those will see a DD someday in the near future.

Cheers to you all, and thanks again.

Alfred

Hello again fellow Deviants!! I'm so happy to anounce that my lesson for the Stan Winston School of Character Arts is finally available. See how I work with a live model to create a creature maquette. Learn great tips about sculpting, anatomy, creature design, working with a model and plenty more. Please follow this link: www.stanwinstonschool.com/tuto… and check out the lesson. Share it on Facebook or otehr Social Media outlets. Help me get the word out and lets make this one of the most succesful lessons they have.

Thanks in advance for all the support. Cheers!!

Hey there fellow Deviants, once again it's been a while since I last updated you on the happening around the studio. So now that Halloween is right around the corner, I figured I'd let you know about a couple new things. I'll be traveling to Atlanta and Massachusetts this month as part of the Villafane Studio team once again. I'll be doing some live carving at a couple venues. Then I come home and do some live sculpting here in town (L.A.) for a big tequila launch party (too bad I don't drink). I'll be sharing pictures of the pumpkins as soon as I get a chance to upload stuff and maybe take a breath.

In other news, I've just completed sculpting a new kit (to be released soon). It's going to be available as a kit and a pre-paint (painted by me). This kit will also come with some very cool display packaging (it'll make sense once it's revealed). So stay tuned for that one. I'm really excited about it and I think it's going to do well.

There's some top secret stuff I can't talk about yet, but we'll see how that works out. When I can share something, it'll be big news. But don't hold your breath on this one, it might take a while.

Other than that, I'm trying to keep as busy as I can. Still taking commissions and looking for as much work as I can get. Cheers for now. Stay creative and keep sharing that amazing work you all do which inspires me every day.
